mozCC is an extension for browsers which are based on Mozilla Gecko (Mozilla Suite, Mozilla Firefox/Firebird, and Netscape) which provides an easy way to view Creative Commons license metadata embedded in Web pages. mozCC displays license information about the current page in the status bar using the Creative Commons' license attribute icons. It also provides a button on the toolbar which displays the embedded license's RDF in more detail.

Release Notes: This release is a release candidate for 1.0. Several major bugs have been fixed. Firefox would get locked up when viewing pages with multiple <link rel="meta" ...> tags. Pages with vague RDF filled the status bar with multiple icons. FOAF namespace was not dereferenced properly. Incorrect status bar icons were displayed when opening a new tab with the middle mouse button. In addition, a couple behavior changes have been made. The (CC) status bar icon is now hidden if no RDF is detected. Double clicking on the status bar icon is now used to display details instead of single-clicking.
Release Notes: This release fixes bugs related to license detection. In previous releases, pages which specified valid RDF that did not contain a License element were not properly marked as licensed. This has been corrected. The external JsLib dependency has been removed.
Release Notes: This release adds support for the Developing Nations license and improves support for Sampling and Sampling+.
Release Notes: This release corrects conditions that caused Mozilla and Firefox to lock up when certain license combinations were encountered. Pages impacted by this bug include the Creative Commons license selection process.
Release Notes: The release addresses performance problems associated with browsing sites containing metadata specified in a link tag. In addition to performance improvements, 0.8.1 contains some minor cosmetic enhancements.
