All releases tagged Major feature enhancements

Release Notes: A pre-installed, ready to run virtual-disk image is provided for creating a MOSIX virtual cluster on Linux and/or Windows computers. The cluster/grid topology and network tuning have been simplified. Processor speed detection has been improved. A "testload" program has been added.

Release Notes: Partitions can be clustered to sub-clusters.

Release Notes: This release is for Linux kernel 2.6.23.11. Support for 64-bit (x86_64) architecture was added. 32-bit and 64-bit nodes may be mixed in the same cluster. A free evaluation copy is available for non-profit use.

Release Notes: Linux kernel 2.6.22 is now used. Sockets can be migrated between MOSIX processes. The new mospipe feature implements migratable pipes.

Release Notes: This release upgrades the kernel to version 2.4.19 and has been tuned to the ALPHA release of the MOSIX massive Parallel I/O (MOPI) package. MOPI is a major enhancement that matches the HPC capabilities of MOSIX with the ability to support scalable high I/O performance by migrating parallel processes to the nodes which have their portion of the data.

Release Notes: A new, automatic installation script, support for RedHat 7.0/7.1 and SuSE 7.0, a fix for the fork-failure bug, and further kernel cleanups.
