Mortíforo

Mortíforo is a portable, enterprise-ready forums discussion software with a modular authentication system, including LDAP centralized authentication support. PostgreSQL and Oracle are supported, using SqlMaps to separate the database logic. Freemarker is used to separate the presentation logic from the backend. It is available in English, Spanish, French and Dutch. It is developed under the Java Servlets 2.4 specification.

Release Notes: A bug in the SQL query made the forum unusable. Better checking for languages when using the LDAP migration tool. Invalid GET called from a POST has been fixed. A missing user_id attribute in the administration menu when editing an account has been fixed. The query was missing the return of an id attribute. JPAM authentication support has been added. This means that any PAM module in a Unix-like system can be used for authentication.

Release Notes: Many new admin permissions. Each permission is independent of the others, making it very flexible. For example, a user can be configured to create a forum but not be able to delete it. You can enable/disable captchas when registering a user. The translations are up to date. The database scripts have been altered so they don't create unneeded users/messages A security bug that allowed a user to access a private forum without permission has been fixed. There are some random bugfixes.
