Release Notes: This release adds support for chapters in MP4 files, a translation to Chinese Traditional, support for MPEG-1/-2 video in AVI files, improvements to the MPEG program stream and VobSub handling code, and fixes for several segfaults, crashes in the header editor, mmg always reporting that adding files has failed with a return code of 1 on certain Windows systems, and audio/video synchronization for the native MPEG-4 storage mode.
Release Notes: Support for the "stereo mode" and libFLAC 1.1.3 was added. Several bugs were fixed in the Quicktime/MP4 and the AAC input module as well as in mmg. mmg's "input" tab was reorganized to be less crowded.
Release Notes: mkvmerge translates CUE sheets used with the "--chapters" option into chapters and tags. mkvextract can re-create such a CUE sheet from the Matroska file. mkvextract can now extract TTA tracks into TTA files. mkvmerge's SRT file recognition failed if there was a space at the end of the first line. mkvmerge's Matroska reader contained an illegal memory access that caused random crashes. The VobSub reader will not crash on unsorted .idx files anymore. Some compilation issues have been fixed.
Release Notes: A job queue was added to mmg. mkvextract can now extract RealAudio and RealVideo tracks into RealMedia files. The --sync option works again for AC3 tracks read from Matroska files. The display aspect ratio can be automatically imported from MPEG-4 video tracks.
Release Notes: A few minor usability improvements were made. mkvmerge can now copy unsupported/unknown track types 1:1 into the output file. AAC can be read from RealMedia files. mkvmerge will write cues for audio only files as well. A lot of minor bugfixes were made, including the VobSub packetizer and the RealAudio handling.
Release Notes: Most changes went into mmg, which allows easy reordering of added input files and tracks. The accelerators Ctrl-c and Ctrl-v have been removed, freeing them for their standard purposes (copy and paste). A couple of bugs in mkvmerge were fixed, including an infinite loop if broken SPU (VobSub) packets were encountered, and the broken handling for raw .AAC files.
Release Notes: New features include reading timecodes from a text file allowing externally controlled variable frame rate files, and complete VobSub support including compression. There are several bugfixes in various readers/packetizers, e.g. audio sync for Vorbis. mmg has an option for clearing all settings, and handles the "default track" flag correctly.
Release Notes: A new switch, --identify, was added which prints information about a single file mkvmerge can read. All track specific switches now understand track IDs as reported by --identify and operate on a single track instead of the complete input file. A bug regarding the track selection for Matroska files was fixed.
Release Notes: mkvmerge can store the aspect ratio. The charset from which the subtitles are converted can be changed independently from the current locale. The 'default track' flags are now set properly. Several bugs were fixed. mkvinfo now displays the FourCC and format tag for video/audio tracks that are stored in MS compatibility mode. More tags are supported and displayed, and mkvtoolnix can be compiled with Cygwin.
Release Notes: In this version, there are several bugfixes in the Matroska reader. Some new features like language selection for the tracks was added, along with the fact that track UIDs will now be kept if read from a Matroska file, text subtitles can now be read from Ogg/Ogm files, and mkvinfo now reports EbmlVoid correctly everywhere.
