mkpkg is a small toolkit for automatically building Slackware or OpenLab packages. It should work on most packages that contain a makefile. It follows Slackware standards and is intended to build packages acceptable for linuxpackages.net. After you type the description, it generates a correctly formatted slack-desc file and logs configure options.

Release Notes: This is a milestone release. Significant production use over several months has steadily ironed out the last remaining bugs, and the single major missing feature (package build numbering) has been added.
Release Notes: The system handles configure options better. A series of error checks throughout helps prevent broken packages and the system can now automatically handle package dependencies for you. There are several other minor feature enhancements and bugfixes.
