Martyr is a Java framework around the IRC protocol to allow application writers easy manipulation of the protocol and client state. Martyr can be used to write bots, end-user clients, or add IRC functionality to an existing Java application.

Release Notes: Bugs were fixed in AutoRegister, AutoReconnect, IRCConnection, and DCC handling. Unit testing support, log4j support, and the use of some Java 5 features (mainly generics) were added. Features were added to names reply, ISON support, NoticeCommand, the away command, and the list command. Every last error code in the IRC RFC was implemented. The Javadocs were enhanced.
