Release Notes: The programs in this release are licensed under GNU General Public License version 3. The libraries are covered by GNU Lesser General Public License version 3. Many bugfixes and improvements were made in libmailbox. Each MU object now has three kind of accessors: "sget", "aget", and "get". The 'mail.local' utility can be run by a non-privileged user. Thus, it can be used with fetchmail and similar utilities. Support for old DBM has been withdrawn.

Release Notes: This is the first stable release since December 2004, introducing many new features and fixing bugs found so far. The library namespace is optimized to reduce the possibility of name clashes with other libraries. All global identifiers begin with mu_. The main library has been renamed to libmailutils. Support has been added for Berkeley DB 3.x and 4.x, and Guile 1.8.x. There is a new ODBC SQL driver, a new radius authentication method, and improved POSIX compatibility. Two new actions have been implemented: 'vacation', an autoresponder, and 'moderator', an automatic moderator for Mailman mailing lists.

Release Notes: Both imap4d and pop3d now accept a new command line option --tls-required, which disables any authentication commands until the client party establishes TLS connection with the server. The package can be now compiled with support for both MySQL and PostgreSQL simultaneously. Which of the interfaces to use is defined at run time by --sql- interface option. Mail.local is able to retrieve mailbox quotas from SQL database. The movemail tool has now a special mode for interfacing with GNU Emacs.

Release Notes: The mailbox library now supports the "maildir" format and the autodetection of local folder formats ("local" is a format of mail folder that uses local disk as its storage medium). The new program "movemail" has been added, which moves email from the user maildrop (remote or local) to the local file. This release considerably improves debugging diagnostics in Sieve filter and adds new extension tests: spamd (an interface to SpamAssassin daemon), list, and timestamp. A bug that prevented SASL from working over a TLS-encrypted channel in imap4d has been fixed.

Release Notes: Many bugfixes and improvements have been made. The library has been split into the core library (libmailbox), and the protocol implementation libraries, which are named as libmu_$PROTO. For example, the library for MBOX mailbox formats is libmu_mbox.so. The support for TLS protocol has been added to libmu_imap.so and libmu_pop.so. This means that you can now use TLS with every client program. There are various fixes and improvements in MH in order to interoperate better with MH-E. A new configuration file variable "mailx" enables the mailx compatibility mode in "mail".
