m3s

m3s creates a file named "ContentsDB.xml" for removable media volumes so that iTunes thinks that it made the disk itself. When this playlist-like file exists, MP3 volumes will appear as iTunes "MP3 CDs".

Release Notes: A typo in the generated XML header has been corrected. The "Disc ID" field now has a more unique string. The comment field is not included since it seemed to have adverse effects in some situations. Track number and number of tracks are now filled in correctly. Dotfiles are now skipped.

Does not seem to work with iTunes 4
The ContentsDB.xml files generated no longer seem to work. I suspect it's due to changes between iTunes 3 and 4.
