Release Notes: This is a pre-release for 2.8.6 (the same as the development release 2.8.6dev.19). There are many bugfixes, most of which focus on the wide-character support. The color-style configuration has been enhanced, allowing it to simulate the older color configuration, so packagers need not choose between the two (color-style is now the default).
Release Notes: This release fixes out-of-bounds indexing in repainting which may occur with a Unicode display, repainting of popup windows when doing a search command, and the feature in the configure script to remove an obsolete config.cache file. A feature to allow reference numbers on the right side of links and fields has been added. NcFTP-style ftp URLs, which are supported by Netscape and wget, have been added.
