LXPanel

Release Notes: This release supports a background picture for the panel. Config files have been moved to ~/.config/lxpanel. You can move windows to other desktops via the popup menu of the taskbar. Battery plugins have been added (via ACPI; might be Linux only). An ALSA volume control plugin has been added (Linux-only, and can be turned off). An experimental new netstat plugin has been added to replace the original netstatus ported from GNOME (not completed). Smaller icons are used to reduce memory usage. There are several bugfixes.

Release Notes: Crashes cause by unloaded dynamic plugins were fixed. The DirMenu plugin was added, which enables quick browsing of folders with a menu. An "Applications" page was added in the preference dialog to set the preferred file manager and terminal emulator which can be used by the DirMenu plugin. An unused image plugin was removed. An improper description used in the preference dialog was fixed. Incorrect initial sizes of menu items of the menu plugin were fixed. Lots of major and minor fixes were made.

Release Notes: Panel plugins can be added/removed at runtime via the preference dialog. Launchbar icons can be added/removed via the plugin page of the preference dialog. lxpanelctl restart has been fixed, and can be used to restart lxpanel after editing the config file. "Logout" has been added to the menu (requires you to set LogoutCommand to work). The need to manually edit the config file has been greatly reduced.

Release Notes: The Makefile was fixed. Plugins are now installed to /usr/lib/lxpanel instead of /usr/share/lxpanel. A Hungarian locale was added. LXPanel is now a sub-project of LXDE, a project aimed at providing a new lightweight X11 desktop environment.

Release Notes: A complete rewrite of configuration loading/saving. Most of the config values can be applied immediately at runtime without restarting the panel. A new user interface for plugin settings. The interface of preference dialog has been enhanced. The layout of the panel is properly changed when it's attached to any edge of the screen. LogoutCommand has been added to global settings, and the "logout" command is supported in the system menu. There are many major and minor bugfixes. LXPanel is now part of LXDE project.
