Release Notes: Support for multiple languages was added. The configuration menu and the live system can be translated using simple text files. Additionally, the live system has been modified such that if there is only a single file to play, it will be played automatically. Afterwards, you will be put into the graphical menu.
Release Notes: The usual package updates were made (freeglut 2.4.0, udev 090, xorg 6.9.0, ROCK Linux 7368). UPX was replaced by UPX2 for in-memory decompression, so now bash and mount are also compressed. An opt-in feedback option was implemented. A check-for-updates option was added.
Release Notes: This release fixes a bug that prevents the 0.5.2 release from booting. Everyone is urged to update.
Release Notes: This release is focused on code cleanups. The reasons for strange error messages when using unencrypted LVP discs have been fixed. Also, there's the usual round of package updates, which have been merged from ROCK Linux rev. 6947.
Release Notes: Unnecessary programs were removed from the live system, decreasing its size to 25 MB. Hardware detection and /dev population were fixed, so sound should work again without manual intervention. The startup message was changed to reflect the fact that you do not need to be root if you don't use encryption. The question about multi language buttons for .ogm and .mkv files was made optional and defaults to no.
Release Notes: This version has moved from XFree86 to Xorg, from devfs to udev, and from loop-aes encryption to dm-crypt encryption. This means that finally there's no more need to patch the kernel, mount, and losetup to create encrypted LVP discs. This also means that discs with version 0.5.0 can not play any prior release as it used to be.
Release Notes: This version features the Linux 2.6 line of kernels instead of the 2.4 line (2.6.10 to be exact), package updates all over the place (Mplayer, libmatroska, libebml, XFree86, and most other packages), as well as changes in the menu creation code. It now takes an image from the video files (default is at 120 seconds) and creates a thumbnail for the menu from it.
Release Notes: This release fixes decryption of encrypted LVPs (first encountered in 0.4.2).
Release Notes: A linear RAID is now used to kludge around the ISO9660 2GB file size limit. The packages were updated, including GCC 3.4, Linux 2.4.27, and mplayer 1.0pre5.
Release Notes: The program now searches for its CD/DVD in all available drives and gives a selection if more than one possible medium is found. Discs are now ejected before shutting down. Packages were synced to the current ROCK Linux, which included an update of mplayer to 1.0pre4. The ROCK Linux Target name was changed to 'LVP' to prevent confusion with the full-blown LiveCD.
