LPAR2RRD is an LPAR statistics and documentation tool for IBM POWER servers running AIX, VIOS, Linux, and i5/OS. The tool is capable of producing historical, future trend, and nearly "real-time" CPU utilization graphs of LPARs and shared CPU usage. It also collects physical and logical configurations. It is agentless.

Recent releases

Release Notes: There are yearly trend graphs apart from the standard daily/weekly/monthly/yearly that predict CPU usage of servers/CPU pools/lpars 1 year ahead.

Release Notes: SDMC support and much more.

Release Notes: This release adds HEA stats on IVM. The "time issue" has hopefully been fixed. IVM now supports share_idle_procs_active.

Release Notes: A workaround for systems with many lpars (50+), 1GB RAM in the HMC (lshmc -v|grep SZ), and a sample rate of 60 seconds, which might have lead to an HMC hang. The hang is caused by an HMC bug that will be fixed in HMC 7.7.2 (since 7.3.4, the problem worsened when Active Memory Sharing was in use).

Release Notes: This release puts arbitrary lpars across all HMCs into the aggregated graph (via the link "All lpars" in the Historical report section).
