Release Notes: The dnsconf module was enhanced to support a virtual registry, inetdconf was enhanced to better support xinetd, co-administrators in mailconf were made more granular and a new virtual domain co-administrator was added to increase security and ease delegate administration, email queue management and vacation support was enhanced, the xterminal module now supports RH8 as a target, support for gcc 3.2 was added, the intermodule API was enhanced, and iptables was made default on kernel 2.4. A few bugfixes were made to the modules dhcpd, dnsconf, nisconf, and printer.

Release Notes: The dnsconf module was enhanced to support more vregistry variables, and linuxconf now detects some vdeliver timeouts. Backup scripts in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts are no longer produced by default to avoid confusing init scripts. A bugfix was made for vregistry's --rundialog option.

RBL support was replaced by ORDB in mailconf. pyhthonmod support for newf_list was added. RPM packaging was changed to allow easy linuxconf installation on machines without the X Window system. A bug in managerpm was corrected.
Release Notes: The major issue fixed is the sendmail "anti-relay hack with the percent character". This release includes an upgrade and generates a new sendmail.cf.
