Release Notes: Most signifcantly, this fixes the infamous "start resources twice concurrently" bug, as well as a condition under which heartbeat might fail to STONITH the other node during the startup sequence when it should have. A bugfix was made for heartbeat starting resources twice concurrently if nice_failback was off. A bugfix was made for heartbeat not reloading correctly, but shutting down instead. A bugfix was made for messages getting lost if messages were sent in quick succession.

Release Notes: A complete restructuring to use automake/autoconf and a new plugin loading system (consequently, it runs on many Linux-like systems), and a new feature ("standby") from lclaudio which allows one to force a failover gracefully. This is the beginning of the move to restructure the project to become part of the open cluster framework.

Release Notes: This release now consists of 3 separate RPMs for heartbeat, heartbeat-stonith, and heartbeat-ldirectord. New features include the ability to dynamically load media, authentication, and stonith modules, multicast media support, support for ping node/membership/link type for tiebreaking (useful for implementing quorum on 2-node systems), removal of PPP support, heatbeat client API support (allows one to write cluster-aware applications), inclusion of the STONITH API library and a new ldirectord version, fixes for various bugs including startup/shutdown bugs and a couple of logging bugs, fixes for holes in protection against replay attacks, extra checking which complains if all resources aren't idle on startup, various IP address takeover fixes including Endian fixes, removal of 8-alias limitations, and speeding up of takeovers, a late heartbeat warning, detection of and partial recovery for cluster partitions, and use of the IANA registered port number (694) by default. This release now also includes support for Baytech RPC-5 and RPC-3A power switches, APCsmart UPSes, the VACM cluster management tool, the WTI RPS10, the Night/Ware RPC100S, the "Meatware" (human intervention) module, and the "null" (testing only) module.
