Release Notes: This is the first public beta release of lineakd 0.8. All macros and display functions have been moved into modules that need to be installed separately. The previous macros of the form EAK_ are now in the package lineak_defaultplugin. The XOSD display functionality is now in the plugin lineak_xosdplugin. In order to get the xosd plugin working now, you need to define Display_plugin = xosd in your configuration file. All XOSD_ configuration directives have now been replaced by Display_. Plugins can now be written by third parties.

Release Notes: FreeBSD patches which should help with compiling. A bug with keeping file handles open and a bug with the kdevelop file (it was confused) have been fixed. Many more keyboards have been added. Hopefully, the strange bug where not all of the keys worked depending on the order in which they appear in your definitions file has been fixed for good. The sound mixer control now uses the _PCM methods to control sound. Hopefully, this will fix setups with more than two speakers/channels.

Release Notes: The keyboard definitions were cleaned up. XOSD is supported for on-screen display. Support toggleable keys. Local message passing is now supported for restarting and stopping the daemon. A major rewrite was done, cleaning up the parsing and handling of config and definition files. User-specified definition files are now used. Global, system wide config files are supported.
