Release Notes: Minor fixes were made. The behavior of wrapper compilers was cleaned up. The portable file descriptor passing code was updated (specifically for use with AMD/Hammer architectures). ROMIO support was enabled on Mac OS X and Darwin. Some missing #include files that prevented building on some platforms were added. An official Mac OS X package was added.
Release Notes: A multiple free in the Fortran MPI_COMM_SPAWN_MULTIPLE call was fixed, and the BSD 4.4 file descriptor passing was updated to fit its expected use.
Release Notes: Several minor portability fixes, an update to MPI_GET_COUNT per the MPI-2.1 specification, the removal of linking to the C++ bindings with the "mpicc" wrapper compiler, and fixes for non-case sensitive filesystems such as HFS+ on MacOS X. This release also includes LSF scheduling auto-detection, and no longer passes -I/usr or -L/usr to the wrapper compilers.
Release Notes: Fixes for a few portability problems with some Fortran compilers, FreeBSD 4.2, and systems without SysV semaphores, and some typo fixes that affected MPI_DOUBLE_COMPLEX Fortran support and the mpi++.h header file in the RPM distributions.
Release Notes: This release includes a workaround for the "set_stdio" problem for some architectures. Fixes were also made for using LAM with very large clusters, for an obscure symbol clash with the ncurses library, and for several other bugs. This release also officially retires the 6.4 series. The IMPI extensions are now included as part of the main distribution. Finally, the license was changed to BSD.
Release Notes: A fix for a bug in the endianess-swapping of the MPI_COMPLEX and MPI_DOUBLE_COMPLEX fortran datatypes when LAM is used in a heterogenous environment, and a fix for a set_stdio error dealing with pty support on Linux.
Release Notes: This release adds minor fixes in the build/install procedures for ROMIO, fixes for duplicate symbols errors when compiling either of the shared memory RPIs as a shared library, and elimination of the unnecessary -I/-L arguments from mpicc and mpif77 when the $prefix is /usr. This is a minor bugfix release only, mainly dealing with issues in the configuration/installation of LAM/MPI. In general, if you have a working installation of LAM/MPI, there is little reason to upgrade.
Release Notes: A minor issue in the ROMIO installation process that would sometimes reset the permissions of non-LAM/MPI files under $prefix/lib was fixed. If you already have a working installation of LAM/MPI 6.4a8, there is no need to upgrade.
Release Notes: A minor issue in the ROMIO installation process that would sometimes reset the permissions of non-LAM/MPI files under $prefix/lib was fixed. If you already have a working installation of LAM/MPI 6.5.1, there is no need to upgrade.
Release Notes: Shortly after version 6.4a7 was released, a bug was discovered that manifested itself by breaking pty support on some operating systems (including Linux) and prevented running MPI programs on remote nodes. This release fixes that bug.
