kwintv is a KDE 2.x application for watching television or video streams via the bttv driver in Linux. It has more or less the same abilities as xtvscreen or xawtv, but it is based on Qt and KDE.

Release Notes: Major enhancements include preliminary Xinerama support, a new channel file format and location (which uses standard KDE methods), and a great deal of code clean up. Many bug and crash fixes were applied. In addition, there were many enhancements to the fullscreen mode to make it more stable and correct.

This is a relatively stable release, which fixes many problems, and includes a new build system.

New features include a scan wizard and a changed program setting dialog, a new program selection using number keys, a new channel list for receiving regions, an "always on top" mode, and the mouse cursor has been made to hide automatically.
