Version 6.06 LTS of Kubuntu
Release Notes: This release is available for download as CD or DVD images or, for the first time, you can order free Kubuntu CDs through Shipit. This release comes with KDE 3.5.2 and includes a new installer which you can use directly from the live desktop CD. This release focuses on stability and bugfixes, as this is the first Long Term Support release, and it will be supported for 3 years on the desktop and 5 years on the server.

Release Notes: Kubuntu 13.04 is based on Linux kernel 3.8 and KDE Software Compilation 4.10. Included is is the new version of the Muon Suite for app install and upgrades. It introduces support for installing Plasma widgets. Version 2 of the Rekonq Web browser adds many new features. Homerun is a full screen alternative to the Kickoff application menu. A new screen management tool makes it easy to attach and unattach extra monitors. Available on the default install is a new font: Oxygen Sans.
Release Notes: This release brings KDE Plasma workspaces 4.9, KDE applications 4.9, Calligra 2.5 office and creativity suite, Amarok 2.6 music player, Rekonq 1.1 WebKit-based Web browser, Light-DM login manager, KDE Telepathy instant messaging, Skanlite image scanning app, Kamoso webcam app, Wacom graphics tablet configuration tool, OwnCloud 4, a new printing manager, a new color calibration tool, Facebook and Google integration with the Kontact PIM suite, Linux kernel 3.5, Python 3.2, and GNU GCC compiler collection 4.7. The 12.10 images need to be installed from a DVD or USB drive.
Release Notes: New in this release are KDE Plasma desktop and KDE applications 4.8, Amarok 2.5 music player, Calligra 2.4 office suite, KDE Telepathy instant messaging, Kubuntu Active Technology Preview of interface for tablets, updated Rekonq Web browser, updated ownCloud, and improved Muon software management center and updater. Linux kernel 3.2.14 was included. This is a long-term support (LTS) release, which means it is supported for 5 years.
Release Notes: This release includes KDE 4.7.1, Amarok 2.4.3, a new suite of tools for installing and managing software (Muon Software Center and Muon Package Manager), Linux kernel 3.0, Upstart 1.3, GCC 4.6, and many other updates to software packages. All ISO images are now hybrid CD/USB images that can be written directly to a USB disk. This version also introduces Kubuntu-Low-Fat-Settings: a collection of configuration options that reduce memory usage and even speed up KDE's loading time.
Release Notes: The Linux kernel was updated to 2.6.38.2. KDE software compilation 4.6.2 is used. Other features include a new Samba filesharing system, a new language selection module, printer configuration improvements, remote file storage server ownCloud, the Phonon GStreamer multimedia backend, the GTK+ Oxygen theme, games on the CD, and enhanced DVD installation.
