It's undocumented, but you can press alt+x to quit, or
press ESC then select exit.

There *are* monsters, but there was a bug which disabled
them in this version. Please check out the latest one,
where combat is restored!

It's early days yet, I hope we will improve KQ for mac
users!

I guess you can tell when something has been "just ported" when there is no "Quit" function, and the app has to be forced to quit ;). If I knew how to program in C I would try to correct this problem myself, but, alas, I don't. I probably should report that the version of KQ ported to OS X has no quit function, nor does it have any enemies (yet). I looks to be great fun when these functions are added (especially the monsters).
