Korbis has two aims. The first is to make ripping CD's to Ogg Vorbis files easier, and the second is to provide an introduction to the beginning KDE programmer. Korbis provides a GUI interface to the CDParanoia and OggEnc programs, and thus requires them. At the present time, Korbis collects song/track/etc data into pre-defined fields, and passes those arguments to CdParanoia and Oggenc. Korbis is developed entirely within KDevelop and QT-Designer. Korbis aims to make it easy for a beginning KDE/QT programmer to open the KDevelop project file and understand how it works in a relatively short period of time.
