Release Notes: The OASIS OpenDocument support was improved even more, especially in KChart. It's still not perfect, but interoperability with OpenOffice.org was improved a lot. Krita has gotten faster and more stable, and KFormula has a new maintainer that has really come up to speed quickly. Across the board, all applications were improved.

Release Notes: Big improvements have been made with respect to interoperability with other office file formats. It is now possible to import as well as export OpenOffice.org documents. Also new is the ability to import PDF files into KWord and make changes to the document. Support for Microsoft document formats has improved as well.
Release Notes: KWord and KPresenter now support automatic hyphenation. A new database frontend, Kexi, has joined the KOffice suite. Many new and improved filters were added. KWord now supports bookmarks, text sorting, new character attributes such as word-by-word underlining and relative font sizes, and improved spell checking. KPresenter has an improved slide transition dialog, draws images with alpha channels, and has customizable printing of slide notes. KSpread features over 100 new formulas, a subtotal dialog and formula, default cell styles, multiple currency support, and new date and time formats.
