knowde

knowde is a knowledge management tool that lets you create a hierarchical tree structure of knowledge cards ("knowdes"). Despite its name, it's not a KDE tool, but uses the GTK+ library and aims at supporting both Win32 and Unix-derivate systems.

    Release Notes: This release includes the keyword based choice list to jump between cross-referenced knowdes, adds selectable file- wide default fonts, adds help text, features switchable layout rendering for the editor, and includes some minor bugfixes in the tree view and the reader, where the knowde's date is now displayed, too.

      Release Notes: This release adds text fonts and colors which can be specified for each knowde. Bugs were fixed in the HTML export, and it now handles tab characters.

        Release Notes: This release adds HTML export functionality for single knowdes, with HTML export for complete files under construction. The source files were all renamed to reflect the names of the contained classes. Bugfixes were made in nearly all classes.

          Release Notes: The release allows knowdes to have date information. This extension is meant to lead to the future implementation of a timeline view. It also makes the use of Knowde easier and faster. A lot of bugfixes were made for the search functions and selection handling. Files can now be loaded on startup as command line parameters. An about dialog was added, and unused menu items were removed. This release was tested successfully with a one-megabyte Knowdefile.

            Release Notes: This release is completely rewritten in C++, and has been upgraded to Gtk+2.0 and Libxml2. It introduces a new reference paradigm, keywords, and a new keyword-referenced tree view.
