Release Notes: This is a preview of what 1.3 will be like, minus the features of NTFS write access and arcade monitor support. VIA AC97 sound is fixed, and the NVidia binary driver is now supplied.
Release Notes: This is a small point release which fixes a bug where the new addroms utility would not save configuration changes if remastering from an already remastered CD. Type "addroms" at the boot prompt to try the new utility which adds your ROMs to the CD and makes you a new .iso. All filesystems are supported, but writing to NTFS (although possible) is still experimental.
Release Notes: This release has an "addroms" boot option to create a custom CD with ROMs added from a running CD. This is done with a new graphical addroms utility. X-MAME has been updated to 0.78.1, GXMame to 0.34b, and the Linux kernel to 2.6.1. Dynamic path configuration for GXMame is now generated at boot time to find /roms and /samples folders on all hard drives or extra CD-ROMs.
Release Notes: This release uses the 2.6 kernel. It supports more joysticks, and ALSA ISA cards. The CD is more modular now, allowing the replacement of the kernel or xmame executable. Because xmame development is very rapid, this should be a welcome addition.
Release Notes: ROMs can now be put on the CD ISO without having to remaster/recompress Knoppix. /ramdisk/home can also be copied to the root of the ISO to make configuration changes persistent. Networking support is now enabled and supported with xmame and gxmame. XMAME has been updated to 0.69 and gxmame to 0.33. Xv is now the default display mode; it can be changed by using the "dga" option on the boot commandline. The ISO is now 100MB smaller, at 200MB.
Release Notes: Updated to X-MAME 0.62.2 and gxmame 0.31.
Release Notes: This version includes a custom -ck kernel which includes preemptible scheduling, low-latency, and compressed caching. All gameports and joysticks that have been tested work automatically, including dual sound-card joystick configurations.
