Release Notes: This version includes a lot of fixes and changes. Enchant is used as the spelling backend. iso-codes is used to provide "pretty names" for the spell checker dictionaries. There are enhancements to the recent menu and to the extended toolbar. GTK is now used to print. Gtksourceview2 is used for the syntax highlighting. Autosave and crash recovery have been implemented. There is greater GNOME HIG compliance. libcurl is used for all of the network-related operations. Maemo support has been added. There are a few bugfixes and a better Arabic translation.

Release Notes: All compile time problems should be fixed in this version, but some pspell related problems may still be around. gcc 2.9.5 compilation failure and Red Hat problems with the autogen.sh script have been fixed. intltool is properly used to translate the GNOME desktop entry. A segfault when auto selecting an encoding in the save dialog ("The displayed name is different than the actual encoding name") has been fixed.
Release Notes: This version mainly contains bugfixes, and fixes many crashes. It no longer crashes when saving a buffer containing invalid characters using the ISO encoding, and more error checking is performed. Also fixed was a bug that caused a file opened via the command line to be added more than once to the menu of recent documents. Interface changes have been kept to a minimum.
