Release Notes: This version is built on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. 64-bit and 32-bit versions are available. A modular system allows you to choose only the servers and modules you require. The number of servers, TCP/IP numbers, server names, and domain name may be chosen. Available modules include Email, E-Learning, Website, Proxy, Home Access, Web Filtering, Printing, and much more. Servers can be administered via Web management. Network monitoring can be done with email or text message alerts.

Release Notes: This version is a remaster of the latest version of PCLinuxOS (2009). The interface has changed to being entirely accessible though a Web browser. User data is now stored in an LDAP database. There were changes to the backup system and printing and bugfixes.
Release Notes: This version is a remaster of the latest version of PCLinuxOS (2007). The Main control panels were changed to use ruby so that all features can be seen at a glance and are easier to use. Desktop independence was gained by changing from konsole to xterm and adding a distribution variable for the filemanager. The karoshi user's home path was changed to /opt/karoshi/karoshi_user. Quota support was added. This can be applied to either individual users or groups of users. Quotas are assigned on a per server basis.
Release Notes: The major feature added is a thin client capability, which is now available using the ltsp system. This allows you to have up to 100 ltsp servers in your school. Other features include an eGroupware system and helpdesk/asset register software. Filtering within the proxy server now supports groups.

Release Notes: An incorrect language on software installation was fixed. A shorewall bug was fixed. This only affected admins deciding not to restrict VNC to a TCP/IP number or MAC address.
Release Notes: Support for Debian, Kubuntu, and SuSe was added. Bulk user creation now converts data to lower case and properly checks for duplicate usernames. Setupdns now asks for the domain name for correct operation with Moodle. Email is now performed using Squirrelmail, Postfix, IMAP, clamav, and SpamAssassin. MailScanner was added for clamav and SpamAssassin support Email now includes POP3 support if desired. SSH is now allowed from xen so that when a user is created on xen it is also created on colossus. Openbiblio and Moodle were upgraded.
Release Notes: New features include a deployment server facility with mirroring support for clients and the Novac media studies file server setup which is designed for schools with a media studies department with a large computer allocation. This setup gives media studies students and staff a server all to themselves to save their video and sound productions. Karoshi now has the provision to include extra file servers in addition to the current line up. This is designed for schools with a very large number of computers and who want to spread the load among more servers.
Release Notes: All server setup scripts check to see that the server has been named correctly. Correct files are copied in for the Linux client depending on whether orac and joshua are used or not. New setup for an optional file server added called Novac. This is intended to be used as a server for the Media Studies subject for the storage of multimedia work. This setup lets you set up an extra file server should you be in a very large school that needs more storage and speed. Use "Add new file server" and "Assign group to a server" on xen to enable your server.
