Release Notes: Various critical bugfixes since 1.4.0, including major SMSC protocols supported (SMPP, EMI/UCP, and GSM AT modem comands), HTTP layer fixes, and WAP WTP and WTP SAR layer fixes. The sendsms HTTP interface has been improved to obey the bearerbox message state for replies.

Release Notes: This version adds smsc-id value proxying to attached smsbox instances via the HTTP SMSC module. This allows load to be spread between several boxes. The PPG may now be used by specific smsc-ids that can be configured in various ways. A new OIS module added, and a validity setting was added to CIMD2. Various fixes were made, including a CIMD2 fix for correct urltrans() handling, a keep-alive lookup when HTTP proxying, PAP document parsing, SMPP optional fields, an EMI2 MO counter and assignment of non-existing fields, and various fixes to the WAP application layer.
Release Notes: WTP-SAR (segmentation and re-assembly) code that lets Kannel act as an MMS proxy was added. It can now transport large objects, including polyphonic ringtones, and large MMS messages. smsbox routing for SMS server module proxies (aka smppbox, emibox) has been implemented in bearerbox. This allows you to route messages to specific smsbox connections for transparent proxying of SMSC protocolls. iconv() support has been added for SMPP to allow easy character encoding. The SMPP client module contains initial support for v3.4 optional fields. Various bugfixes and improvements were added.
Release Notes: This is a maintainance release to the 1.2.0 stable version with improvements to the SMPP client module and various other parts of Kannel. Several bugs have been fixed in various modules of the gateway library. A new protocol has been added (SM/ASI) to connect to SMSCs.
Release Notes: This is a stable version of Kannel, intended to be used in production environments. It includes the changes in the default behavior for local time logging and native malloc usage. The EMI2 and SMPP module output has been harmonized. The admin HTTP status page now shows overall SMS traffic statistics. Numerious improvements have been made to the SMPP module. Support for XML POSTs have been added. Bugs have been fixed in the AT2 module, in the SSL connection layer, and the MySQL connection layer.

Release Notes: If a WML file uses single quotes (instead of double) around the character set name and the HTTP result headers also specified a character set, the WML compiler tried to use both. This has been fixed. The wapbox will now suppress server-generated error pages if they are in a format (such as HTML) that the client does not accept. When suppressing an HTTP result body, the Content-Length header is also adjusted. The Kannel 1.0.2 WAP gateway has received the official WAP 1.1 certification by WAP Forum.
