kachelmann (English for tileman) is a Java/Swing application that allows a user to draw simple diagrams, especially genograms, easily from icons. Besides its own format, output can be produced in JPEG and HTML format.

    Release Notes: The license was changed to GPL 3.0.

      Release Notes: The source code was released and an ant script was added.

        Release Notes: JPG cropping was buggy and has been fixed. A bug with the icon cursor on the second icon was corrected. When using the open/save dialog, directories are now shown. Some new icons were added, and installation under Windows 2000 was improved. The bug list has been updated and some minor code changes were made.

          Release Notes: In this version, the text is now better justified in the cells, so that four lines will fit, including descenders. In the menu you may now choose whether the HTML output uses CSS. JPG images are now cropped to the used size.

            Release Notes: The HTML output using CSS didn't work on browsers including Konqueror 2.1 and Netscape 4.79. This release contains an alternate .jar package that doesn't use CSS.
