JX

JX is a full-featured C++ application framework and GUI widget library for use with the X Window System. It provides support for all facets of application development, including distributed applications, and aims to combine the best of MacOS and NeXTSTEP. It is built directly on top of Xlib and has been carefully optimized for performance.

    Release Notes: There is a new, simpler development license, a redesigned clipboard mechanism, dockable window support, support for Windows-style tab widgets, support for the XSearch protocol, and many other enhancements. This release compiles with gcc 3.x.

      Release Notes: Now fully supports 64-bit architectures. Added ports to Digital UNIX (OSF1) and IRIX 5.3.

          Release Notes: It finally works with egcs. The thunks bug is still there, however, and can still bite you in your own code.

            Release Notes: This is primarily a maintenance upgrade and printing support has been improved. Thanks to a 30 day evaluation license provided by KAI C++, JX is also close to working with kcc on Linux.
