                Release Notes: Stream capture and transcoding capabilities were added. Rio Receiver owners can now tune to Shoutcast stations, listen to the BBC Ogg stream, and listen to Ogg audio files.

                  Release Notes: New screen layout support for the Rio, some UI redesign, many bugfixes, and a new driver callback interface for dynamic settings and player status. The code is to be moved to CVS with this release.

                    Release Notes: A new hierarchical playlist type, playlist grouping, an improved XML-RPC interface, streaming support for desktop players, better docs, and much more was added. A hardware player is no longer required.

                      Release Notes: ID3v2 tags are now read with dynamic playlist support. An SDK was added for those developing net-based MP3 players who might want to use JReceiver as their host. The less restrictive BSD license was adopted.
