Release Notes: A patched version of JBox2D, optimized and made J2ME compatible, has been included. Two new games were added, including a physics game. The make scripts now use Ant and are fully portable. Keyboard support and persistent store API for Android were added. Various bugfixes and minor feature enhancements were made.
Release Notes: OpenGL (JOGL) support has been added. OpenGL enhancements include shaded polygons, alpha blending, and real-time scaled and rotated sprites. Also included is video-synchronized variable frame rate support. A new game, Ogrotron, has been added.
Release Notes: A major rewrite was undertaken, enabling games to be compiled for the mobile MIDP2.0/CLDC1.1 platform. The package structure has been changed and some platform-independent classes have been added. The directory and make structure have been changed. The code has been optimized, and several small improvements and bugfixes were made.
Release Notes: Wraparound playfield support has been added, adding the new methods setPFWrap and getX/YDist. The audio has been improved by never starting the same sample twice in the same frame. A tutorial has been added. Space Run III has been extended with wraparound levels, and a new game, Guardian, has been added. A number of small bugs have been fixed.
Release Notes: VolatileImages are now used for the draw buffers, giving a performance boost in Windows. Games can now be exited with Esc. New methods for reading the last key were added. Highscore handling was added to StdGame. A bug was fixed in JGObject disposal. Several games were improved. A new game, Packetstorm, was added.
Release Notes: The main addition in this release is support for scrolling. There are new methods for handling the playfield and view separately. JGObject has a suspend feature. All draw methods can now be used relative to both the playfield and view, and now take float coordinates. Scrolling is illustrated by a new game, Space Run III, and a scrolling version of Dungeons of Hack.
Release Notes: A sound API was added; some of the games now have (some) sound. An "online game generator" application was added for creating games without programming. A new game, Ramjet, was added. A bug where shift-esc would not work on all machines was fixed. AppConfig was made a bit more robust. Some minor changes were made in the docs and API.
Release Notes: A new class, AppConfig, was added for handling game configuration. StdGame now uses AppConfig for key configuration. The games are adapted to work with it. The output of getKeyDesc is much improved. A new method, getKeyCode, was added. Munchies was added to the launcher. HTML generation was added for "full screen" applets. defineImage has been changed to clean up old images. A Performance section was added to the manual.
Release Notes: A game class that handles a number of common game states and variables was added. Several standard game objects were added. Five new games were added, and two games were improved. Other changes are mouse support, a custom paint method in JGObject, some extra tile cid manipulation functionality, a simplified defineImage, an initialization progress bar and splash image, and various minor changes.
