                  Release Notes: Fixes to the jfsprogs.spec to handle utilities not being in file system source tree, cleanups to the include files, fixes for inconsistencies in mkfs man/HTML pages, allowing separate allocation of JFS-private superblock/inode data, removal of checks in namei.c that are already done by the VFS, removal of redundant mutex defines, a workaround for a race condition in remount, a fix for an OOPS during shutdown, and incremental truncation of large files (affects directories too).

                      Release Notes: Compiler warnings in the utilities on 64-bit systems were fixed. Some problems removing files have been fixed. Certain assertions in jfs_txnmgr.c were fixed. A hang was fixed. The exhaustion of tblocks is now prevented. A timing problem between the Block map and the metapage cache was fixed. The code was cleaned up. The source tree was split into three branches: 2.2, 2.4, and jfsutils.
