There is a UI interface to allow sending messages to people not on the contact list. Support has been improved for using jclaim from session-based environments (e.g. the Web). GroupFactory will now maintain the group list. AIM and Yahoo! protocols have been updated.


Release Notes: Updates to IM Libraries. Stability fixes for several IM media. Flexibility in the server address. Better support for file transfers. Javadoc and unit test updates. Support for group chat (Core and Jabber only). Deleting conacts in Yahoo IM has been fixed. GoogleTalk has been updated to handle addresses more intuitively for the end-user. There are minor fixes and small improvements. Updates to the UI: minor fixes and small improvements. A spell checker issue with replace has been fixed. Google search has been added. A new look and feel is now available (General/settings/Skin/Substance).


Release Notes: This release adds support for Microsoft Vista (Beta2) and JDK 1.6 (RC). Documentation has been updated with recent improvements. Minor bugs have been fixed.


Release Notes: A bug in Weather startup was fixed. Simple editing in the list of people was added. A clock was added on the task bar. Support for proxy in AIM was improved. Support for spell checkers in editors was improved. A suggestion menu in text fields was provided to help recommend correct words. IP query/autoresponse was implemented.
