libitl

libitl is a library that allows applications to convert between Hijri and Gregorian dates and to compute Muslim prayer times and Qibla direction based on multiple methods of calculation. It is part of the Islamic Tools and Libraries project (ITL).

    Release Notes: A new method was added. Preliminary support for delta-t was added. Invalid/error handling was improved for all prayers. A bug that caused wrong Assr prayer times in Southern hemisphere locations was fixed. Fajr and Ishaa intervals will not be set when Maghrib/Shurooq is 99 (i.e. invalid). A configure script is now shipped by default, and autoconf is no longer required to compile the library. Proper static library building was added by default. Preliminary support was added for libtool using the "libitl-libtool" make option.

    Release Notes: The libraries and tools are now packaged separately. A reminder script was added.
