Project active again
Ok i have to take back my previous comment. Since Matthew Palmer entered the project theres a lot happening.

The authors are busy people and have a lot of other things to do. There is an upcoming IRM 1.6 release (once we work out the bugs), as well as a lot of work toward IRM 2 (check out the applicable Subversion repository).
This Project seems to be dead
I tried several times to contact the authors and got nor reply at all. Also all requests i've seen on the developers mailing list are ignored. Last CVS updates have been a long time ago.
