iPP is a platform independent pre-processor written entirely in Java for creating scalable enterprise solutions. iPP focuses on the needs of Web site developers and software developers which have to deploy their applications on multiple platforms. Using iPP developers can easily create and maintain platform-specific versions of Web pages and source files from common templates. iPP lets developers automate site and program maintenance using templates which contain shared and platform-specific code along with definitions and directives used in generation. iPP is particularly useful in projects that have many files, that have a combination of shared and platform-specific code, and that are deployed on a number of diverse platforms. iPP features include platform independence, conditional compilation, recursive expressions evaluator, macro processor, embedded comments, command-line definitions, extensible search path, includes, and other functionality normally found in professional pre-processors.
