Release Notes: Support was added for the latest instructions sets, such as Intel SSE SSE4.2, AVX, AVX 2 and AES instructions. OpenMP support was improved. Support for additional Fortran 2003 and 2008 language features was added: ALLOCATE with SOURCE=, polymorphic source, FINAL subroutines, GENERIC keyword, Coarrays, CODIMENSION, SYNC ALL, SYNC IMAGES, SYNC MEMORY, CRITICAL, LOCK, ERROR STOP, and ALLOCATE/DEALLOCATE. Integration into various IDEs was improved.


Release Notes: Fortran 2003 support was extended. OpenMP support was updated to 3.0. Parallel compilation was improved. Many other improvements were made.

Release Notes: More Fortran 2003 features were implemented, with asynchronous I/O support and better C interoperability features. Performance and threading was improved. Security checking and diagnostics features were added, supporting GNU Mudflap, OpenMP* API verification, and including a static verifier for buffer overflow. More detailed optimization reports are now possible. Optimization support for the latest multi-core processors was added. A Professional Edition kit including extra tools and libraries was introduced.


Release Notes: This is the first public release of the 9.0 series. It adds support and advanced optimization for the latest multi-core processors. Support for additional new features from the Fortran 2003 standard was added. The debugger now supports Symbolic Debugging of Optimized Code (SDOC). Software-based Speculative Pre-Computation (SSP) was added for IA-32. Memory models have been introduced for EM64T (x86-64). Automatic interface checking was added. Many further enhancements were made.
