InnerWorld

InnerWorld is an experimental landscape generator running inside Blender 3d. The generator can be used for mesh creation and to populate the virtual world with objects. Mesh generation and procedural object placement can be defined by using a graph editor. Different noise sources and operators can be arranged for procedural content creation. Meshes can be generated from Blender's noise functions, FFT synthesizing, and external gray scaled images acting as height fields.

    Release Notes: New operators were added to clamp the range of input values to given bounds, to convolve two input connections, to calculate the derivative of the data input connection, to mix two data input connections, to rescale input to fit to a given range, to implement a stairstep function, and to subtract the second from the first data input connection. Performance improvements were made.

      Release Notes: Procedural object placement was implemented. User defined objects can be duplicated to populate the generated mesh. For calculating locations, different strategies can be selected. Supported strategies are grids, Poisson disk sampling, and spirals. Random generators can add variations in size, locations, and rotation to duplicated objects.
