Imieniny reads a list of names and the dates on which those saints are commemorated in Poland. The "name-day", i.e. the day on which a saint bearing a person's name is commemorated, is important in Poland, and is celebrated like a birthday. The program, given a date, will display what people have their "name-days" on that day. It can also send an email alert. Given a name, it will display when that name has its name-day(s). Since people in Poland like to send little "mini-poems", a selection of these is included. Users can also determine their own combination of names and dates and names-surnames and dates.

Release Notes: Corrections were made in the list of names and days.
Release Notes: Now all users can have their own custom files which can store a user's own dates for names and for name-surname combinations. This will enable the program to give alerts for a particular person.
Release Notes: Now alerts can also be sent by email. This is useful when running as a cron job.
Release Notes: This release adds the "-a caps" option (alerts on monitored names by printing them in ALL CAPS), and the install script now creates the /usr/local/man/man1 directory if needed.
Release Notes: This theme uses the "-a caps" option (prints alerted names in ALL CAPS), and therefore depends on imieniny 1.1 or higher.
