Zureta IfaceMon
Zureta IfaceMon easily displays the activity of your network interfaces (eth0, eth1, etc.). It is curses based, and displays the activity on a bar graph.

This program is great for those who don't use X, or log in via a shell -- it displays a graph using ncurses of ethernet/ppp traffic, and updates every second ...
You can messed around with the code a bit to increase the poll frequency, and get rid of the noisy syslog posts...
