Helix Universal Basic Server

Helix Universal Basic Server is a streaming media server which supports up to 1Mbps of live and on-demand RealAudio, RealVideo, Windows Media, MPEG-4, and Quicktime broadcasts, as well as on-demand serving of SMIL, RealText, RealPix, JPEG, GIF, and PNG. It supports plug-in interfaces which allow for extended datatypes, broadcast plugins, and filesystems.

    Release Notes: This release adds support for Windows Media delivery and content distribution to Windows Media Players, acceptance of incoming Windows Media Encoder connections, and interoperability with all default Microsoft codecs shipped with Windows Media Player since version 6.4. It supports QuickTime delivery and content distribution QuickTime players, and accepts incoming QuickTime Broadcaster Encoder connections. It supports MPEG 4 delivery and content distribution to 3GPP and ISMA compliant players via rtsp://, and accepts MPEG 4 Encoder connections.
