Helix DNA Client

The Helix DNA Client is the media playback engine used by the RealOne Player. It contains standards-compliant H.263 and MP3 decoders, RealAudio and RealVideo binaries, and sample user interfaces. The media engine is capable of playing multiple streams simultaneously, maintaining synchronization between streams, and handling RTSP, RTP, and HTTP streaming network playback.

Release Notes: This version features 3GPP support (limited to AMR-NB, AMR-WB, H.263 until respective AAC, MPEG-4 Video licensing issues are resolved), multi-channel audio on some platforms, DirectSound support (Win32), a change in the baseline version numbers to 10.x.x.x, security audit, and system plumbing to allow server alerts to be displayed in localized language instead of English-only.
