Version 1.8 of Hanzim

Release Notes: This release has made the transition to commercial software, initially available for Mac OS X, with a Windows version planned for late summer. Major improvements include distinct entries for different character pronunciations, a complete compound dictionary (no more pinyin "definitions"), separate simplified and traditional radical-remainder data, Unicode-based clipboard integration, improved frequency data, and a visually enhanced interface.

Release Notes: This release brings improved integration of third-party dictionaries such as CeDict and HanDeDict. Handwriting recognition and several other platform-related improvements come to the Mac version, and the Linux version has been updated for better compatibility with recent distributions. There is a new tutorial for lists and flash cards. A version for the iPad (called iHanzim) is now available.

Release Notes: This release brings improvements to flashcard presentation, including a full-screen mode and the ability to mark known cards. You can now also download vocabulary lists from an online library.

    Release Notes: This release brings the ability to edit word definitions and add new words to the dictionary. Text is now hyperlinked for easy lookup of synonyms, and font zoom commands were added. Bug fixes and UI enhancements round out the improvements.

    Release Notes: This release adds custom word lists, dictionary editing and import in Standard Edition, plus new Deluxe Edition with stroke order animations, spoken pronunciations, historical development, and flashcards.

    Release Notes: This release brings several new features: long compounds of 3-4 characters are now displayed, and English definitions can be searched without clicking a button. The frequency display control is now more meaningful, and dictionary information is available. Simplified/Traditional conversion has been added, including intelligent handling of multiple-mapping cases. More related-character information has been made available, and several bugs have been fixed.
