    Release Notes: The default satellite image layer is now a static NASA JPEG image instead of OpenAerialMap tiles.

      Release Notes: The default map layer is now a hybrid between OpenStreetMap and OpenAerialMap. A day/night layer has been implemented, which shows where the sun's rays hit the earth.

        Release Notes: Separation of the Amateur radio (Ham) mode from the General mode. Initial GPS integration via gpsd/libgps. Map tiles are now downloaded from OpenAerialMap and OpenStreetMap, and cached. Map layers can be configured without recompiling the application.

          Release Notes: Rudimentary undo/redo support was added. The mouse scroll wheel can now be used for zooming. Starting QTH is now guessed from /etc/localtime. OpenMP is used to speed up rendering on multi-processor (or multi-core) machines. Doxygen source code documentation is included in the documentation. A .desktop file is included, so that GXmap appears in the GNOME application menu, for example.

            Release Notes: Sessions can now be saved and loaded (as XML files). The globe view and the azimuthal equidistant projection view can now be rotated by holding down the left mouse button and dragging the mouse.
