Release Notes: The built-in simpleFFT can handle Fourier transforms of arbitrary size, and resampling was removed from all functions and modules that employ FFT. A crash in the JPK file loader was fixed. A new resource GwyGrainValue was added, allowing user-defined grain properties. A new grain property was added: area above half-height; there were some grain function user interface improvements. It is possible to switch graph axes to logscale even in the presence of negative values. Tip operations can resample tip automatically to match data resolution.
Release Notes: The guide was brought up to date with Gwyddion 2.7. The coverage is now almost 100%; only a few obscure features remain underrepresented. The introductory part was extended. GNU sed is now required to build the guide from DocBook sources.
Release Notes: Four new tools were added: Path level, Spectro, Grain measurement, and ISO roughness parameters. Two new graph modules were added: cut and force-distance curve fitting. One data-processing module was added: two-dimensional autocorrelation function. Initial single point spectroscopy data support was added. There was a large number of small improvements and bugfixes.
Release Notes: Files given on the commandline can now be opened in an already-running instance of Gwyddion, and by default file associations work this way now. Four new modules have been added: Nanoscope II importation, Intematix importation, polynomial distortion in the horizontal plane, and an experimental Python interface. A curve list tab has been added to graph windows, allowing the user to copy and delete graph curves. The "Graph fit and Critical dimension" user interface has been improved; fitted parameters have proper units now. Raw file importation now allows the user to set arbitrary lateral and value units.
Release Notes: The guide was brought up to date with Gwyddion 2.4. Descriptions of advanced correction methods (FFT filtering and drift compensation), multidata functions (arithmetic, correlations, merge, and immerse) and new functions and parameters were added. Distorted page layout in MSIE was hopefully worked around. Many broken links were fixed. A rudimentary subject index was added.
Release Notes: Binary data file import problems introduced in version 2.3 were fixed. A crash which occurred when a channel was deleted immediately after adding a mask or presentation and the insufficient precision of GwyAxis tick labels were fixed. A Gaussian smoothing filter was added to the Filter tool. A zero crossing edge detection method was added to Edge. Grain statistics now calculate total grain volumes. Import of non-square Nanonis files was fixed. Miscellaneous small bugs were fixed.
Release Notes: A MicroProf FRT import module was added. Importing of JEOL, NT-MDT, JEOL, and GXSM was improved. Document history can be filtered and searched by file name. File previews were disabled on Gtk+ 2.6. Possible crashes in the toolbox, Merge, Calibrate, and pixmap export were fixed. Grain distributions can calculate volumes. The read value tool can visualize averaging radius. Mark Scars has an instant preview. Facet Analysis allows you to choose fitted plane size. Slope distribution output scale was fixed. Fit Sphere robustness was improved. Truncated logarithmic graph axes were fixed. 3D view can save default setup.
Release Notes: Import modules for DME, JEOL and GXSM netCDF files, drift compensation module, general convolution filter, and row/column statistics were added. File open dialogs now have a preview. Interpolations with non-interpolating basis were fixed and a set of new interpolation primitives added. The value reader displays local facet orientation too, masks can be copied between channels, there is a new Inclination edge visualization method, and many bugs were fixed.
Release Notes: The user guide has been brought up-to-date with Gwyddion 2.x, especially the chapter "Getting Started". The chapter "Installation" has been completely rewritten with emphasis on practical issues. Descriptions of many methods in "Data Processing and Analysis" have been expanded.
Release Notes: New file import modules for PSIA and PSI HDF4 were added. BCR import supports files with UTF-16 headers now. The 1D FFT filter was ported to 2.x and re-enabled. Immerse was reworked, and it has a usable GUI now. There are miscellaneous other improvements and bugfixes.
