Release Notes: The 3D view can now use different data for surface and texture (overlay mode) and display a false color scale, keyboard shortcuts are configurable, and data previewed in the "file open" dialogue can be plane- or row-levelled. Six new file modules were added: Code V INT, Zeiss SEM, Hitachi S-3700 and S-4800 SEM, Alicona Imaging Al3D, ISO 28600:2011 SPM data transfer format, and WITec ASCII export.
Release Notes: New file import modules were added for Benyuan CSM, WITec project, Raster Data (NRRD), Automation and Robotics Dual Lens Mapped data, old Gwyddion dumb dump format, OpenEXR, 16bit PNG, PGM and TIFF images and Ambios AMB (experimental). OpenEXR and NRRD can be also exported. Many other file modules were improved. The line noise synthesis module was reinstated. Spanish translation has started, all translations were updated.
Release Notes: This is mostly a bugfix release, improving the import of Nanoeducator, OPD, NT-MDT, and Attocube files and adding some support for MUL files. There were also miscellaneous bugfixes and small user interface improvements. The Czech, French, German, Italian, and Russian translations were updated.
Release Notes: Instrument calibrations can be created, imported, and applied to data; measurements and statistical characteristics are then calculated with uncertainties. Support for compilation with MSVC6 was removed and cross-compilation with MinGW32 is recommended now. The MS Windows installer bundles Gtk+. Two new file modules were added: for WSF and DME MIF v1.7. New modules for grain levelling and marking by edge detection were added. There were improvements in other file modules, surface synthesis, DOS spectrum, and FFT filtering. Czech, French, and Russian translations were updated.
Release Notes: A new file import module for Anfatec files was added. Four new surface synthesis modules were added: Particles, Noise, Line noise, and Pattern. All surface synthesis modules can start from existing data now. The mask editor contains new tools for freehand drawing, erasing, and bucket (un)filling. Data arithmetic has a preview and can work with mask. New grain characteristics, related to curvature, are available. Radially averaged 2D ACF was added to statistical functions.
Release Notes: Two new file import modules were added for Olympus LEXT 4000 and DME GDEF. Two new simple data processing modules were added for mutual cropping of non-intersecting parts of data and limiting data range using a threshold. A module for calculation of DOS from I-V spectra was added. Libgwyapp functionality can be better controlled by applications using Gwyddion libraries. There were several other, smaller improvements, namely in file import modules.
Release Notes: A new file format, Gwyddion Simple Field, was added. There were miscellaneous SPM data import improvements, namely in Nanonis, Nanoscope, NT-MDT, Omicron, Quesant, Shimadzu, and SICM modules. False color axes have numbered ticks. Loading of GWY files with selected spectra curves was fixed. Radial PSDF uses all necessary FFT coefficients and now also works correctly on anisotropic images.
Release Notes: Three new file modules were added: AIST-NT, Omicron flat format, and PicoHarp PT3. The support for several other file formats was improved. A new line correction method, based on median of differences, was added. Starting a new instance of Gwyddion with --remote-new on X11 works again. Some Gtk+ 2.18 compatibility problems were worked around.
Release Notes: Translation of the user guide to French and Russian has started, although ready-to-read formats were still published only for the English version in this release. The guide was updated to the upcoming version 2.19 of Gwyddion, descriptions of surface generators and other new functions were added, and the file management section was reorganized and extended.
Release Notes: Four file import modules were added: for Attocube Systems ASC, NanoScan XML, Nanosurf PLT, and for general XYZ data that performs interpolation into a regular grid. The Delaunay/Voroni triangulation and interpolation functions are avilable in libgwyprocess. Import support for Asylum Research, NT-MDT, Seiko, and GXSM files was improved. Several 2D statistical functions in libgwyprocess can either exclude or include the masked area; the Statistical Quantities tool utilizes that. The Pixmap module can export data as 16-bit grayscale. Several bugs affecting compilation on Mac OS X were fixed.
