      Release Notes: Many new features were added, including a new user interface, many status viewer improvements, "My GroundWork", and custom dashboards. The GroundWork SDK, reference documentation, and sample code were improved. Users upgrading from release 5.3 are strongly encouraged to review the release notes.

        Release Notes: This version includes a major overhaul of the user interface and many new capabilities and features. The PHP/Guava user interface framework has been replaced with the JBoss Portal framework and ICEfaces user interface library. The following key applications have been rewritten to take advantage of the new framework and to address feature requests and improvements from the community: application navigation and organization, login and session handling, Status Viewer, Administration, and Dashboard Viewer & Builder.

Improved installation: all software prerequisites are now included in a single, graphical, distribution-agnostic download. Updates to Nagios (3), RRDtool, MySQL, BIRT, and PHP. New packaging, including an installation wizard and fewer prerequisites, should lower your blood pressure and chances of having a faulty install.
