GNU Typist (gtypist) is a universal typing tutor. It includes typing tutorials in several languages and for several keyboard layouts. GNU Typist is a direct descendant of the famous program "Typist".

Release Notes: Native Language Support was added and UTF-8 support was fixed on Windows. vim syntax highlighting was re-added, and the manual was updated. The Polish translation was updated. The build system was fixed.

    Release Notes: Full UTF-8 support, new Colemak typing lessons, many new international lessons imported from KTouch 1.6, an update of the German tipptrainer 0.6.0 lesson, tracking of personal best scores, a new Spanish manual, and new Polish and Turkish translations. The DJGPP compiler (DOS) no longer supported, although the MinGW GCC compiler is.

    Release Notes: This release fixes an issue that prevented installation. It corrects a minor typo in a lesson.

    Release Notes: A bug has been fixed where pressing escape at some prompts could crash gtypist. There are a few corrected typos in some lessons.
