gtk-conf problem
My configure script failed because of this error.
checking for GTK - version >= 1.0.0... ./configure: line 3116: gtk-config: command not found
./configure: line 3117: gtk-config: command not found

I did a quick RPM -qa to check my version of GTK and it was current (gtk2-2.4.14-4.fc3.3) I suspect the problem is that I installed using an RPM. Actually GTK is installed default in Fedora installs if I remember correctly. There is no gtk-config file on my system anywhere. Other GTK apps have no problem with this. Since I have approxiamately 20 gtk RPMs installed it is not practical to wipe out the RPM and install from a tarball.
