GSview is a graphical interface for Ghostscript, an interpreter for the PostScript page description language used by laser printers. For documents following the Adobe PostScript Document Structuring Conventions, it allows selected pages to be viewed or printed. GSview requires Ghostscript 7 or later.

Release Notes: A fix was made to prevent mangling of non-ASCII paths when creating temporary files. Added "%%BoundingBox" lines now use the same line end encoding as the previous line. A crash when incorrectly trying to convert PDF to EPS is now avoided.

Release Notes: Auto orientation is now set from %%ViewingOrientation in preference to %%Orientation. "Shrink to fit page" was fixed to work with recent Ghostscript releases. Display behavior on multiple screens was changed. Further minor bugs were fixed.
Release Notes: This release fixes text extraction for PDF files. Text extract (pstotext) now recognizes excessive space within text as being separate words. It also recognizes a few more ways of showing text. A problem with forgetting page offset and device settings is fixed. When displaying Full Screen on Windows with multiple monitors, GSview now displays full screen on the last monitor. When dialogs are centered on the display, it puts them on the first monitor. GSview now uses the pagesize from "%%BeginFeature: *PageSize" if no other page size is given.
Release Notes: This release includes fixes to work with security changes in Ghostscript 8.xx. It also redisplays files correctly after they are changed. Slow behavior on remote X11, crashes with an unset LANG environment variable, and a false page offset when printing have been fixed. Furthermore, assorted updates were made to the translations, as well as minor bugfixes.
