    Release Notes: The gsasl tool now supports STARTTLS for IMAP and SMTP using GnuTLS. The PLAIN mechanism is preferred over LOGIN when both are available. The --client and --server parameters for the gsasl tool now work properly. The --client and --server stdin/stdout modes now use the readline library. There is improved checking for libidn when the system needs -R, -rpath, or similar. Build problems in getpass on uClibc and Mingw32 platforms have been fixed. A Kinyarwanda translation has been added.

      Release Notes: Build problems when cross-compiling to uClibc and Mingw32 platforms were fixed. Detection and use of the readline library was improved. A bug in GNU SASL 0.1.x backwards compatibility code in the callback for GSASL_PASSWORD was fixed and some compiler warnings were eliminated.

        Release Notes: The gsasl tool now tries to connect to all addresses for a server name. The SASL PLAIN server now permits unassigned code points in SASLprep. The use of "head -1" in the configure script was fixed. The license template in files was updated with the new FSF address. gsasl_check_version was simplified and made more robust. The gnulib files were updated.

          Release Notes: Strings that trigger the Unicode NFKC bug in PR#29 are now rejected. The ANONYMOUS server rejects empty and overlong tokens. The EXTERNAL client now returns empty data instead of NULL for empty authzid. Typos in gsasl_strerror() messages were fixed. A self test of the EXTERNAL mechanism was added. A Vietnamese translation was added.

            Release Notes: This version include a rewritten implementation of DIGEST-MD5 for the new API, some internationalization improvements in the PLAIN server, a small number of fixes in the new (0.2.x) API functions, and a new simple user database password lookup function API.

              Release Notes: SASLprep related improvements to PLAIN, LOGIN, and CRAM-MD5. The DIGEST-MD5 mechanism is disabled by default, pending a rewrite for the new API. The LOGIN client now uses authentication identity, not authorization identity. The PLAIN client now works when no authorization identity is provided. The NTLM mechanism now supports the 'domain' field. Callback backwards compatibility is improved. Disabling Libidn/SASLprep should now result in an RFC 2222 compliant library. There are documentation fixes. Self-test bugs have been fixed.

                Release Notes: A memory leak in server-side CRAM-MD5 has been fixed. A read out of bounds error in client-side CRAM-MD5 has been fixed. The base64 decoder, will not accept white space in input. There are documentation fixes, and gnulib files have been updated.

                    Release Notes: This release adds new examples for the new API. There are documentation improvements, e.g. the API manual in DevHelp format. gnulib files are updated. More self tests. Translation fixes. The EXTERNAL mechanism now support authorization identities. A major internal overhaul of the library to remove all fixed size buffers in the API, and to simplify the callback interface. An update of the generic crypto layer. It is now possible to add a new SASL mechanism during run-time. A few memory leaks are fixed. Libtool's -export-symbols-regex is now used to only export official APIs.

                      Release Notes: This version fixes various compile time warnings. There was a revamp of GNUlib compatibility files, and more translations were added.
